Vice President

Filippo Andreatta has served as Vice President of Arel since 2007. Since 2005, he has been Professor of International Relations at the University of Bologna, where he teaches International Politics and Strategic Studies. He previously taught at the Universities of Parma, Trento, Bocconi, and Johns Hopkins, and conducted research at the European University Institute, NATO, the Western European Union (WEU), and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C.

He is the author of four monographs and over 80 articles and book chapters on international relations theory, the international system, and European security. In 2004, he founded the International Relations Standing Group of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP), where he also served on the Executive Committee.

He has served as department chair and as a member of the Academic Senate at the University of Bologna, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI). He is part of the editorial board for Political Science at the publishing house Il Mulino.
