Speaking before Parliament, the Prime Minister identified competitiveness and the completion of the single market as strategic priorities for the March European Council, with a focus on regulatory simplification and the 28th regime for businesses. Particular emphasis is placed on energy issues, with calls for a revision of the ETS to reduce the impact on prices. Regarding the multiannual financial framework, Italy supports increased resources for competitiveness and industry, while maintaining traditional policies. The importance of the external dimension of the single market and industrial development in the defense sector is also emphasized.
