The Single Market Lab is an initiative powered by Arel aimed at developing innovative proposals to strengthen the integration of the European economy. Leveraging a broad stakeholder network and the proven methodology behind the Letta Report, Much More Than a Market, the Lab is geared for concrete impact on EU policy. The European Commission’s EU Competitiveness Compass (January 2025) confirms that recommendations from the Letta and Draghi reports will sit at the core of this legislature’s agenda. In her 2025 State of the Union address, President von der Leyen reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to completing the Single Market and announced a Single Market Roadmap to be finalised by 2028. The Lab’s ambition is to accompany this process with a forward-looking vision and equip the EU and its businesses with effective tools to sustain global leadership.
