The Scuola di Politiche (School of Policies) was founded in 2015 at the initiative of Enrico Letta, who served as president until 2021. Launched as an Arel project – whose headquarters still host the annual course – the School has since grown into an independent institution.

Its mission is to equip talented 18–26-year-olds with the skills and judgment to navigate change and drive innovation in professional, civic, and political life. It selects motivated young people committed to public service, ready to engage with competence and ethical rigor – the future generation of leaders: authoritative, open, and European.
