The policy talk entitled Industrial Accelerator Act: Lever for European Competitiveness was held on 27 April. The meeting was part of the debate on European industrial policies and initiatives to strengthen the Union’s competitiveness, with particular reference to the European Commission’s proposal for an Industrial Accelerator Act, presented as part of the Clean Industrial Deal.
During the meeting, the strategic objectives of the proposal, including strengthening the European industrial base, supporting clean technologies and reducing strategic dependencies, as well as the implications for the production system and Europe’s positioning in the global scenario were discussed in depth.
The debate opened with an introduction by Enrico Letta (AREL). Immavera Sardone (European Commission) spoke. An open discussion with participants followed.
