The Policy Talk Digital Networks Act: opportunities and critical issues took place on Tuesday 3 February at AREL headquarters.

The meeting addressed the increasingly urgent need to build a Single European Telecommunications Market on a continental scale. A need already strongly highlighted by the Letta and Draghi Reports and now taken up as a priority by the European Commission.

The discussion analysed the context preceding the presentation of the Digital Networks Act (DNA), the new regulatory framework set to significantly affect the telecommunications sector. The stakes are high: from strengthening single market integration to the EU’s ability to support investment, innovation and competitiveness in a strategic sector.

The meeting inaugurates a cycle of in-depth analysis and discussion meetings promoted by the Single Market Lab, with the aim of collecting guidelines and operational proposals capable of making a concrete contribution to the ongoing European debate.
